I recently changed my phone without removing the authenticator and now when I try to log in to the battle net account on the new phone it asks me to accept the authenticator, I don’t have a section started on the computer with this account either since it belongs to my dad and I don’t mine, but he asked me to recover it since he couldn’t, the issue is that I asked battlenet support for help and they gave me a solution, which was to delete the authenticator from the account recovery options, but when I hit delete and I enter the phone number or email linked to the account, I get an error that says too many attempts, does anyone know how I can solve this to recover my account please?

Account issues (such as removing the authenticator) cannot be resolved on the forums; you need to contact Blizzard Support.
To solve the “too many attempts” issue, you need to wait at least 24 hours from the last attempt before trying again.
There is a way (once the 24 hours cooldown has elapsed) that you can try to remove your authenticator… I’ve never tried it myself… but I think it might work for you if the Blizzard way doesn’t work.
- Go to Support home : https://us.battle.net/support/en/
- Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen and click on Log Out
- On the right panel, click on Can’t Log In.
- That should bring you to https://account.battle.net/recovery/en/?ref=https://us.battle.net/support/en/&theme=blizzard – click on “Remove my authenticator”
That should launch the process… you’ll have to put in the e-mail address or phone number of the account you need to have the authenticator removed… and you may have to provide more information – like I said, I’ve never gone through that process myself.

If you need to get back to Blizzard… check if your ticket is still opened… if it is, you should be able to reply to it and add comments/questions. If it’s not, you’ll need to create a new one; on the new one, do refer to your original ticket so that Blizzard can link the 2 tickets back to you.
