apologies in advanced… i got to level 22 yearssss ago and its been so long everything i knew about it went straight out the window. how in the heck does one learn general and basic things about starting from the very beginning? im in the game map but i am straight struggling to finish the first quest. i cant rember what buttons to press to attack and such if any of this makes sense.

Than how did we get a patch? I’m confused… and how did they know the game was broke so fast to re patch?
Likely several ways.
They have internal test servers that they develop on. Issues can be found there.
Just about every game being released today is released with known issues that are fixed later.
And often the biggest contributor: Bliz often uses other social media sites for data collection and communication.
Due to the games’ ages, there aren’t dedicated CMs watching forums like this one. There may be other general CMs or franchise CMs, but they tend to do data collection primarily on the current games with only minimal attention to the older games. For example, Kaivax is not a developer or a WC1/2 CM. They are a general CM. And so here, they are just a messenger.
As for these forums, they are sometimes watched immediately after a release for reports, but as issues are fixed and things settle down, they are looked at less and less.
