Hi, I recently purchased Diablo 1 + Hellfire from Blizzard, and I’m trying to play it on my Windows 11 gaming PC. However, when I launch the Hellfire expansion, the game opens briefly and then closes immediately with no error message.
Despite all of this, Hellfire still won’t launch, although Diablo 1 (base game) works fine.
Is there anything else I can try? Are there known issues with Hellfire on Windows 11?

Yeah im having the same identical issue with my Hellfire on Windows 11 Black screen and wont launch.
Same issue here, Hellfire crashes right after launch, no error. Diablo 1 base runs fine. What worked for me was running Hellfire in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode and disabling fullscreen optimizations. You might also want to check if your antivirus is blocking it.

Try running Hellfire in Windows XP compatibility mode or as an administrator. Also, check if installing fan patches, such as Diablo 1 Hellfire Mod, helps improve compatibility. If that doesn’t help, you can try running the game through a virtual machine with Windows XP or using DOSBox to emulate older systems.
