my battlenet doesn’t show my friend that I am playing games. It only shows I am with “Online” status. For reference, I have the exact issue as

In this case, I would suggest checking that you are also set to Online in the WoW social menu. If you are showing as Online, then it’s possible that you installed the mobile Blizzard app sometime in the past and it may be conflicting with the online status. In that case, I’d suggest reinstalling the mobile Blizzard app, logging into that mobile app, then logging out and uninstalling it.

May I ask what do you mean by WoW social menu? I checked my friend list only and it shows im online.
I tried reinstalling and logging in to Blizzard app but still nothing fixed.
One thing to mention is that, whenever after I launched WoW, the “launch” button is still available instead of “in game”, where I can keep opening new WoW window. Not sure if that is relivent

I’m having all the same issues including the launch button still allowing me to open the game over and over again. Did you ever find a fix?
I’m having all the same issues as OP and I tried doing as suggested, ( redownloading the mobile app, logging in, then uninstalling.) It did not work. I’ve tried uninstalling bnet and deleting bnet files/cache. It doesn’t matter what game it is. When you click on the play button, it launches the game but immediately goes back to “play” and allows you to start the game as many times as you want but will not show what game you are playing.

What I mean is opening the friend list in WoW (default O) and making sure you are set to Available in that menu by clicking the dot on the top left and changing it to the green dot (Available).
