When in a Private Chat with a friend, the chat placeholder will show and same on the dropdown menu.

You can post links to pictures without adding spaces and “[dot]” by converting the link to preformatted text:
- put the link in your post as you would normally,
- highlight the entire link and click on the </> button on the formatting bar at the top of the text composition area.
Your link will look like : https://imgur.com/a/9r1fzr8 and will be accepted by the forum software.
Doing it this way makes it easier for your reader to access your screenshot since they don’t need to re-construct your original URL.
