Is it possible to expand the functionality of the ignore feature…and I do appreciate your making the account wide ignore already….MUCH appreciated…..but is it possible to make it so threads started by those on our ignore lists are automatically blocked from our sight ?
So threads they make just wouldnt show in my feed at all?
Or is there a setting we have for that already, maybe?
I’m not sure this falls under Support Site Feedback. Your suggestion appears to be about the forum’s ignore functionality rather than the support website itself.
I’ve noticed repeated replies in this section advising users to move their posts away from Support Site Feedback, even when the posts are about forum functionality or feedback about the site itself.
This is creating confusion about what actually belongs in this section and may discourage users from posting relevant feedback here.
Could we please clarify the intended scope of this forum category, and ensure that guidance given in replies is consistent so users know where to post correctly?
and yes there is a setting click : your blue man icon user => The first bell sign => Users => Complete the Ignored List => Press Add button.
wait..what? it does exist already where entire threads of ignored posters can be hidden entirely?
…
so the GM who directed me here lied about this forums purpose…..figures…
Tried it..there is nothing there that lets me ignore threads made by posters on my ignore list…as it HIDES them from site automatically
No, that is not a setting that exists on the forums. We were lucky to get Discourse to even make an Ignore feature at all. Apparently that was not something they wanted to do originally.
I THINK the logic is that while you can’t read the post by the Ignored person, you may want to, or need to, see replies.
There is a way to make the whole thread vanish though. Go to the bottom of the thread and on the left is a drop down menu with Tracking. ![]()
Switch it to MUTE. That will remove the whole thread from your forum index so it won’t show up at all. I realize that is only a work around for a feature you want, but that is the best there is right now.
As for the purpose of this forum - it is for the Support section of the website. If people have suggestions about the Ticket system functionality and menus (not GMs or policies) or Knowledge Base articles this is the place to give that feedback. There is no specific place to give forum feedback. Tickets are certainly not the route because CS has no connection to the forums at all. We used WoW General Discussion to get the WoW forums finally switched over to a Battletag back end with one account per person and all the chars under it.
GM never lie – they just operate on a higher administrative plane, bending time and support queues like Guild Navigators in Dune.
We mortals perceive it as “forum routing”.
In my language we say: “we pass the cat along”.
Coming back to the Subject:
I think there may be a misunderstanding. We have the “Ignore” feature under Preferences => Users => Ignored list, where you can add a username.
It’s not a global forum setting, but it does exist on the SC2+Reforged forums and can be used to filter specific users.
Why did you not try it out?
Click your “like a stylized blue man” icon user on right up side of this page
=> Click below the Bell “All notifications” sign
=> Click “Preferences”
=> Click “Users” (under “Preferences”)
=> See the first field “ignored” the second is “muted” Both are there.
=> for my case I Completed the “ignored list”
=> Press Add button.
And now not just the “time” but also the “space” is folded - and their answers also folded.
I hope it helps ![]()
