So like everyone else i was downloading at roughly 200b/s which is awful for nearly 16GB…
so do the following to hopefully get better download speeds! it helped for me… it only went upto 5m/b but it’s much better than before!
Steps!
(1) download and install Better net
(2) Log out of Battlenet - NOT CLOSE
(3) Once logged out - Close battle net completely
(4) install better net
(5) connect to America on betternet
(6) open Battlenet Launcher and select America
Enjoy faster downloads 
Even doing that mine is dropping constantly, only way I have maintained a stable connection is connecting to America one using a VPN also… I know last time this worked, maybe they have changed the launcher to prevent people doing this that arent based in these areas.

this worked for me using the betternet VPN and has worked for a few others,i also put this on Reddit and everyone is seeing a massive speed inrease!

I’ve had that dev error 546 or something once or twice over the last couple days and just reload my game and it all works.
Can confirm this works, at least for me it does. It went from not downloading at all to 3.7mb/s. Thanks for the tip, ive been trying to update this for ages lol
Nuts! deleted .build.info file and now it has recreated with the correct version and is working although you launch the game and it tells you it needs to do an update FFS I HAVE DONE 2 UPDATES ON THIS **** THING LOL

For me and for other people in a livestream this worked:
repeat step 2 and 3 till you get to around 4-8 mb/s. This isnt that fast but at least its many times faster then 100kb/s.
You should do that about 3-5 times. Then it should work.

Thanks Frank - again. After sorting my problem with the 170gb download last week, your trick to delete build.info has got around the 6034 dev error, was just about to through the bloody PC out of the window.
DONT DO THIS. You will have to start a free trial period that you cant cancel, try and find another VPN instead
This works . I am downloading the update atm at 4-5 mbps . @oskarllarsen just click cancel and connect . It wont ask you more for credit card and etc . Before I was at 100-200 kbps now at 4-5 mbps .
It works, but there is no way to cancel the trial if you have just entered it from your browser
FYI, I used expressVPN (I don’t know if you can use it for free). I was at 6MO/s passing by New York, and at 10-12 by Washington DC
BRAVO my friend !!! This really worked for me, i was a little unsure for this but it did really worked. And boost the shi++t up to 15 MBS. For everyone else, you need to watch on the download all the time and if it drops again on 100kbs just repeat again ! Im downloading now as i write this so its 100% ! this is the best way. Now it went up to 20mbs haha BRAVO BREEE !!! LOTS OF LOVE FROM SERBIA ! P.S. did went on american region just to know
