Falsely banned for "hacks" support site not helpful

Maybe I’ll actually get some sort of proper interaction and feedback here. Nearly a month ago my account was suspended mid que for “hacks”. Weird, I thought, I’m a pretty below average player must just be a mistake I’m sure they’ll sort this out in no time. Oh how wrong I was. Support site has been less than supportive. Generic copy and paste responses which have all but nearly stopped at this point. I get it big huge company, massive player base we can’t investigate every single detail, but come on. I’ve been a loyal customer since the original warcraft days. Ive played overwatch since close to the beginning pretty much the day I got back into PC gaming. So many hours and skins. Competetitive points earned and spent and now battle pass purchases since overwatch 2’s release gone all for nothing. Here I sit now still not knowing why I got banned feeling defeated. If anyone took the time to watch my gameplay it would be clear as day I’m not cheating. This post will probably get removed like my other one but who knows maybe a mod with a heart will see it. At this point even just a reason why is better than nothing.

I am sorry Grimshaw, but you won’t get any reply from Blizzard here. The ONLY way they allow appeals is through tickets. It sounds like you have done that.

The Mods you speak of, are just the clean up crew who spiffy up all the Blizzard forums and remove posts that break the forum guidelines. In this case, Mods may remove it for posting about Account Actions.

Because there are no folks from Blizzard here to review your account, there is nothing to be gained by posting here. As a result, they ask us not to discuss account actions here. We (players) have to keep it to tickets.

As for your penalty, the Hacks category can include a lot more than just botting. It can include any software or macros that may assist you. It can even be something like having automation/scripting software running while you have the game running. Autohotkey is a big one for that. Some folks use it for work (or other games) but forget to turn it off and reboot before playing Blizzard games. You don’t want anything running at the same time as Blizz games that their anti-cheat will detect.

Crazy you’re the first person between all my posting in various locations to have actually been helpful so I appreciate that. Just sad they wont actually look into anything. With my luck I probably hit a macro button on my keyboard fml

I understand your frustration. It’s disheartening to lose access to an account you’ve invested so much time and money into, especially with little explanation. Sometimes reaching out on social media platforms like Twitter can get a quicker response from support. Ensure your messages are polite yet firm, highlighting your long-term loyalty. Also, consider sharing your gameplay footage to prove your innocence. As for improving visibility, some users on their complaint posts to attract more attention from the community and mods. I hope you get this resolved soon!

if you want to get the mback, one option is to buy views on it through ,It will give you acoount a noticeable boost and I think it can undo it

None of that works at all with Blizzard. They do not care how long you were a customer, how much you spent, or what games you play. They care if the game and server logs show rules were broken. It is pretty black and white. They also do not accept any outside evidence such as videos or screenshots. Those can be faked, sadly. They use only their internal data.

It is not a community vote. Either the anti-cheat software detected something amiss on the account, or it did not. If it is a false positive in the detection criteria (and those do happen), they usually get overturned on appeal or when Blizz unbans a whole group who were impacted by it.

There folks who monitor the social media channels have zero ability to impact account actions. None. The most they can do is tell someone where to find the ticket to appeal.
