Got a Error Code : BLZBNTAGT0000138F yesterday while trying to update WoW. I could log in all the days before (and updated the game before). I already tried the following steps that were given to me by making a ticket:
1. Close the Battle.net desktop app and wait for Agent.exe to disappear from 2. Task Manager before relaunching the app. If the issue persists, restart your computer and try again (did nothing for me)
3. If you’re using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out any connection issues (am using a laptop, but had no problems before)
4. Run the repair tool to fix any damaged game files (gave me the same error)
5. Configure your security software’s exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run (did this in McAfee and Windows firewall)
6. Close all other applications to resolve software conflicts and free up system resources (I’m not using any other apps when trying to start up the game).
7. Run a security scan to check for any viruses or malware infections (the scans didn’t find anything).
8. Delete the Battle.net Tools folder to automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files
Furthermore, I re-installed battle.net and also tried resetting the WMI Repository (hxxps://us.battle[.]net/support/en/article/257703). I also tried starting the game without the launcher, which works, but then I can’t select a server which is compatible with my current version.
Please let me know if I need to add any other information. The only thing left to try (I think) is re-installing WoW, but I don’t want to do that if there is a quicker possible solution.
