Error Code and Update/Repair Loop

Earlier today I attempted to repair my WoW installation after a UI element was broken and could not be resolved by clearing the cache. Upon attempting to repair, the scanning and update process is now in an infinite loop of scanning and then failing to update around 85% with the same Error Code: BLZBNTAGT00000BB8

having the exact same issue. I have run the scan and repair 5 times, every time it breaks. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled, and it still cannot log in past the loading screen I get dc’d every time

Hey there friends,

I am sorry to hear about the BB8 error. Most of the time we see this, it is faster to just fully uninstall and reinstall the game. If you have both Classic and Retail, you would need to uninstall both.

With that said, we can try a few things. First would be to reset the Blizzard app.
Perform Steps 1-5 here after that do not reinstall yet but follow these additional steps:

  1. Open file explorer/file manager
  2. Type the following into the address bar (not the search bar): %APPDATA%
  3. Delete the Bnet and blizzard folders inside the appdata folder if they exist.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with %LOCALAPPDATA% and %TEMP%
  5. Empty the recycle bin.

If this does not work, selective startup is the next thing on my list of steps. Something could be conflicting with the install and this can help.

If these fail, please get back to us with a DxDiag. Maybe it will show us something more to give more pointed advice.

DxDiag instructions (click to expand)
  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and then press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file something you can remember and click Save.

I have down loaded call of duty cold war and when i try to load the game up I cannot connect to servers. This happens time and time again. I have the latest GPU drivers, updated/repair the game still can’t connect. Also trying to get some customer help is virtually impossible!
