I have tried everything to try and get overwatch update but it wouldn’t. I decided to fully uninstall the battlenet launcher to see if maybe just a fresh install would work because i had exhausted every option i know. Now it won’t even let me download battlenet and its giving me this error. Please help.

Is the drive too full for the total size?
Did you change DNS?

this error message alerts you to a local block on the system that prevents it from accessing the patch server for updating/installing games. This can be third-party apps, malware detection apps, security software your work requires, or a throttling problem with the ISP.

This error is usually caused by third party applications or connection issues. Could you try the following steps?

• Run a security scan
• Check the host files.
• Close any background applications and security applications that may be running.
• If you are on Windows 10, try resetting the network settings.

If the problem persists, does the installation go through when using an alternative connection or VPN? With the game being so large, I wouldn’t recommend to install it on these connections, but it could help us narrow down what’s causing the issue.

Having the same problem; issue arose when mismatch between installed and most up-to-date version [SCII}, searched for update no updates found. Tried the uninstall, download new Battle.net setup, and continues to fail with the BLZBNTBTS00000028 Error.

The error doesn’t seem to be regional, I tried with VPN from multiple regions from S. Korea to US across the entire map. the Installer refuses to connect.

What I observed is that the n***s . battle . net cannot be reached, at least with 2 IPs that it resolves to. 46.%.%.46 and 54.%.%.189 and both of them point to AS16509 Amazon in Dublin

BTW I downloaded Battle.net-Setup.exe a week ago and since then I haven’t been able to connect yet

I worked around the installation error by using a hotspot - first try. Suggests ISP or router issue.

2nd suggesting was to switch to ISPv4 with manual DNS settings on my normal connection. I had tried with first, but did not work alone.
