Using a VPN temporarily may help. Some ISPs/networks block large files.

Issues in the scan and repair for me too. “oops Something went wrong, try again” - I have tried again several times. Changed regions and all the other trouble shooting, the one thing I havnt tried yet is uninstalling and installing the game back on. I see some people say that doesnt work, is it worth giving that a try or am I wasting my time.

thanks so much for providing a fix… it works right away. " Edit: Solved, Thank you u/almightyjew
All I had to do was go to the battle.net launcher, open de system folder, Data folder, second data folder, and delete the .idx files AND the data.x files that were only 1kb. Then I ran de scan and repair tool again and it fixed correctly this time. "

EVERYONE PLEASE UPVOTE THIS AND SHARE EVERYWHERE!!! Absolutely worked first time! Haven’t been able to play for days until now THANK YOU SO MUCH u/thejosepinzon. So you have to go into the Settings in File Explorer, Data, data, and delete the .IDX files AND the data.* files that are only 1kb! I think there were four for me, easiest way is just click the size tab and go to very bottom, or click again to re-sort them to top. There are four of them to delete. Re-scanned in batttlenet and downloading the update finally and playing!

I too have been unable to resolve issue and can’t seem to get any support . I’ve been trying to fix this for a week.

Looks like there is an update virus in the Blizzard launch and my Diablo 3 caught it, but Tech Support’s vaccine isn’t working! My Diablo 3 needs help, not the runaround.

shame that 200GB game failed as Call of Duty do.

FIX THE GAME OR GIMME MY MONEY BACK

Had the same error come up with diablo 3. rebooted the client after the game kept freezing and attempted to repair the game files. That’s where the error came up. Tried a few different things and ultimately settled on reinstalling my game… I lost all of my characters…

I found out that in my case it was a disk error caused possibly by a previous update, or occurred during a previous update.
In my case the folder F:\Games\WOW\Data\indices was corrupted/unreadable (I could not open it or delete it from explorer).
After a disk check and repair, and after removing the “indices” folder mentioned above, the error BLZBNTAGT00000BB8 disappeared and I was able to successfully update WoW.

100% worked - I was stuck in the reapir/upgrade loop - found a data.* file in “C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Data\data” that was only 400 bytes or so - deleted it - and as soon as I restarted the launcher - it updated and the game is playable.

Whoops! Looks like something broke. Give it another shot.Error Code: BLZBNTAGT00000BB8

Getting this vague error when attempting to scan and repair my TBC Classic client. I would click Play, the button would briefly change to Launching before going back to Play and nothing would happen. This was over an hour before maintenance and other people were able to log in, so I knew it wasn’t related to that. I tried to check for updates, and there were none. So I tried scanning and repairing and now I am stuck in this infinite loop where
‘whoops - something broke’ and the only thing I can do is restart the scan. What can I do? I was told by the client to contact you if this continues.

I am also experiencing this problem. I havent been able to log into the game for the last 4 hours. I keep getting the error after repairing and trying to up date. I have done everything suggested. I deleted my Norton antivirus as i suspected it was the problem. I even wrote them a nasty email due to experiencing other issues as my renewal date approached and find it a strange coincidence that today was my renewal date. What can we do?

Error - BLZBNTAGT00000BB8 Every time I fix this(with a clean install) it comes back in a few days to a week

Having the same issue. I tried all the “fixes” but nothing has worked. Is Blizzard doing something about it?

In the same boat as y’all. Before the Wrath patch went live i was playing fine, Wrath patch went live them game wouldnt update. Restarted comp, reset wifi, turned off/updated antivirus, ccleaned, ran as admin, finally decided to uninstall Battle.net to for clean install and now even the app will not download. other programs are downloading fine tho. solutions please.

Same error. Nothing I’ve tried is working. I’m losing game subscription time. Not happy about that.
