Hi all,
When I try to open the battle.net launcher I get this message.
“The procedure entry point [] could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\WINDOWS\System32\ole32.dll”
This message also appears when I try to Uninstall the program, Open any of my games or even try to Reinstall battle.net, I have tried manually uninstalling it and tried fixing it in CMD but I get the same message when launching the Battle.net setup.
Any help is appreciated, Thanks.
Hey there! The Battle.net Desktop App is coded heavily into Windows to make it more efficient. These “.dll” errors indicate that a problem with your Windows installation prevented the application from functioning properly.
With that in mind, many problems related to your installation of Windows can be resolved by creating a new administrator account, logging into it, and trying the Battle.net Desktop App there. To do this, please follow the steps on our Support Site here.
If the App works on the new admin account, it means that your primary Windows user account is broken or corrupted in some way. This is somewhat common, and the easiest fix is to simply move any needed user-specific files to the new admin account. You can also work with Microsoft to fix the problem with the old account if you like.
If those same errors occur on the new admin account, try scanning your Windows files for errors using the instructions here.
Let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the help! I eventually got it working with some help from Microsoft, Turns out I had a few corrupted files on my system. Hope you guys are doing well.
