Empire Earth, which is owned by Sierra Entertainment, which is owned by Vivendi Games,which was bought by Activision in 2008, is currently not supported on the Windows 10 platform. It was barely playable on Windows 8, and the only current way to get it to run on Windows 10 is through an unsecure 3rd party program. This is a call for action. I wanna hear them say, “Sink the landlubbers!” in real time instead of having to watch 6 year old Youtube videos, crying myself to sleep for the loss of my beloved franchise and favorite life activity, Empire Earth. My heart is broken, my spirit crushed. I’m not even asking for a remaster(Cough Cough Xbox/Microsoft with Age of Empires),I just want the true meaning of life to finally be with me again. I love Empire Earth, and I’m on my knees Activision Blizzard. Please. I will sell you my soul, my heart, and both of my kidneys. If this requires a third world war to bring about the proper change to allow Empire Earth to be playable again, so be it. As God is my witness, I will give you my car. Its a 2005 Mercury Sable, with 170k miles on in, but I will do it. I will quit my job and move to Santa Monica and be homeless and stand outside of your offices every day until they kick me out and ban me and arrest me and sentence me to death if that’s what it will take for Empire Earth to be playable once again. Let’s talk specifics for what I consider “playable”. I just want the game to work in full screen, and I want full online multiplayer functionality. I will pay in my own blood to play this game again. I need this game. Please, if anyone is out there and can do anything to help me and the giant cult following Empire Earth has garnished, please help us. You’re our only hope. Please.
Sigh. I know no one’s going to actually do anything about this. It just hurts to see my favorite game of all time just, like, gone. I’ve been sad about this for years and I think it’s just kinda come to head recently now that all of my old buddies finally got PCs and we all reminisce about the pure masterpiece that Empire Earth was. And to see the franchise that was Empire Earth just gone, dissipated, it hurts.
