Downloading games is absolutely gibbled

I am curious if anyone else is running into this issue. 200MB/s DL speeds being dragged to the dirt by their ponytail to 5Kb/s.

I expect nothing more than a copy/paste useless reply from blizz, so if anyone has anything that worked for them please let me know! (I’ve tried a lot)

I get ~500kb/s for D2 resurrected. Speedtest gives ~7Mb/s dl-speeds.

Came here to echo the same issue, it even went down to 0 bytes a second for a couple minutes during the download. It’ll start out normal, then go down to less than 50 KB/s when my download speed is 10 MBPS. Meaning that small patches that are around 100 MBs in size take a literal hour to download due to how slow it’s being. I have looked into everything I can and nothing has fixed it, and I have seen several similar posts to this one claiming to have the same issue. It’s clearly something with battle.net at this point, or their servers, and it’s infuriating that they don’t seem to be doing anything about it at this moment in time.

Bytes and Bits are not the same.

The launcher uses kilobytes to show current speed (KB/s).

A speedtest uses megabits, denoted as Mb/s (the lowercase “b”). Megabits are smaller than megabytes (MB/s, capital “B”).

Therefore, your connection has a max speed of 875 kilobytes (7 megabits).

The launcher seems to be using as much of the connection as it can (500 KB out of 875 KB) without disconnecting you from other services.
