I have set the limit to 0 in the battlenet app and done the other troubleshooting options in the forums and am still getting speeds under 1 MBps. I typically get 8 to 12 Mbps when downloading from other launchers like steam or uplay. why is battlenet launcher so much slower? and how can I fix this?
Hey, IRONMAN010! There’s often some confusion with MBps that Battle.net shows on the launcher and Mbps. Bits (with a lower case b in Mbps) are used to measure data transfer speeds, while Bytes (Capital B in MBps) are used to measure data storage. 1 Byte contains 8 bits of data, so 1MBps would be 8Mbps.
If this does match with other launchers, its downloading at the same speeds. There’s other variables that can cause slow download like bandwidth limits, harddrive speed (like using an external hard drive), or connection issues to the patch servers. Also have had slow downloads, updates. Getting kicked off diablo and its disconnecting my whole router. Down to 1 KBps speed
