At Diablo II LOD i am trying to changue the name of one of my characters with the char name changue function but when i use the link to this site to changue it it said the name is already taken (but it isnt)
Can somebody help me out to changue it.
Need support.

If you had the name in use on another character, even if you just now deleted that character, I think that name will not be available for at least one week.
That’s just a guess and I’ve never been able to confirm it, but I’ve seen other postings about it that said there is a waiting period of one week.
I’ve just deleted one my mules and tried to rename another character using that mule’s name. It says,
ERROR
A character with the name ________ already exists.
Well, I deleted that mule about 45 minutes ago…so, I guess I’ll wait a week and try again.
