I purchased own a digital copy of Diablo II and LoD through Blizzard’s online store. I had played them quite a bit on my old PC, but when trying to install and update to 1.14D on my new PC I am unable to connect to the Battle.net servers to access the patch. I see other people have this problem and blame it on play restrictions from Blizzard caused by VPNs or trying to use mods in official Battle.net play, but I don’t use VPNs, nor do I use mods in Battle.net. I also am not operating on business internet. I also directly copied and pasted the “CD” keys provided to me on my Blizzard account page.
Please advise as to why I would be restricted from accessing Battle.net, or if the servers are down for some reason. An alternative would be for the 1.14D patch to be available on the Blizzard website, where I have been unable to find it.

If you are trying to use the USWest realm, there are currently issues preventing people from connecting. The only possible workaround is to keep trying over and over. There’s reports that some people have been able to connect that way.
As for temporary play restrictions, there’s a long list of behaviors that can cause them. The list can be found here.
The 1.14d patch used to be available on the support site, but for some reason, Bliz took it down several weeks ago.
