Can a blizzard employee confirm if we can use wine or Lutris to play Diablo 2 resurrected on linux without getting banned or atleast chime in with some kind of update? I use to use wine to play diablo 3 in slackware linux with wine and it ran fine , everything was perfect until i got banned. Took me a month to get my account unbanned! Surely by now blizzard has made some kind of effort to make this happen or allow it atleast? Thanks for ANY input!
The staff has never offered concrete answers about what will or won’t get you banned when it comes to running games on alternative platforms. They may change their stance later, which would lead to confusion. Additionally, the staff who used to participate in this forum are no longer here.
