Blizzard, please patch. It’s unacceptable. Buying a game which says compatible MacOS… And this just doesn’t work.

As a 32-bit application, Diablo II will not run on systems running MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later.
While we do not have a current ETA, we do have plans to address this incompatibility with a future patch. We appreciate your patience.

Any update on this? Just paid for the full game, at least have the decency to let players know about this issue BEFORE buying the game.

Glad to hear everyone is pushing for this update. Also glad to see Blizzards reports here that an update is planned. Here’s looking forward to it and hoping it’ll be here soon.

This is such a shame. SC runs fine, but D2 does not. I was really hoping to get back into D2 after a several year hiatus. I guess I’ll keep waiting…

I had the same issue. I’ve owned D2 a couple of times in disk format and downloaded. I recently had to get a new computer and updated to the most recent iOS and I bought the game getting excited after seeing the D4 trailer and wanting to revisit the fond memories of D2 (I had D3 for computer and I currently have it on console - but its not the same) and low and behold that after I bought it it wouldn’t install and I started looking and found this thread.
Hi Blizzard, I believe all the people reply here are true blizzard fans, who are playing classic D2 in 2019! Please work on this, get it done soon, and don’t let these people down.
