I just reinstalled Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction expansion pack but despite trying all tips and tricks listed on Connection Troubleshooting - Blizzard Support I keep getting the same error saying: Unable to identify version and therefore I cannot upgrade from the 1.14b patch to the current 1.14d patch so that I can log on to battlenet and play the game
Please help as I really want to go back to the best Diablo version ever made namely Diablo 2 LOD - legacy.
Edit. I managed to get it upgraded to 1.14d now by selecting Asia server which for some reason worked but now it wont log on to battlenet ffs
I would try applying the 1.14B to 1.14D patch again… manually this time… see if it solves the issue… copy this link http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/diablo2exp/patches/PC/LODPatch_114d.exe
in your browser and hit Enter to start the download. The “LODPatch_114d.exe” file gets saved in your download folder where you can double-click it to run it.
If that doesn’t work… I would uninstall Diablo II / Diablo II: LoD completely and re-installl version 1.14B. Then patch it manually to 1.14D. That’s the way I installed it.
