Hi everyone… i Have play diablo 2 in single player mode… when i play with my lvl 76 character suddenly my pc was out of electrical and shut down… after i turn on the pc and i notice that my lvl 76 character was missing from the single mode game in diablo 2… after that i have check the diablo 2 files in my oc and notice that the character files was still there but in game i couldn’t find my character… can anyone here help me what should i do to get back my character? I have spend a lot of time to play this character until this lvl… hope somebody can help me wit this issue… thank you so much
That doesnt sound good. If the game was improprly terminated theres a chance the characters save files are corrupted. And unless you have backups they might be gone for good.
i didn’t have the backups… it’s sad to lost it…
You can try a file system check…
1: Open an explorer window. Winkey+E
2: Right click your system drive (C:), click ‘Properties’, click the ‘Tools’ tab, then click ‘Check’.
Possible outcomes:
1: If there are problems found, you may be prompted to restart your computer. Do so if prompted, allow the process to finish. If you still can’t see your character after the system comes back up, then your character file is gone.
2: If there are no problems found after clicking ‘Check’, then sadly your character file is lost.
Prevention of this problem:
1: Backup, backup, backup!
2: Get an Uninterruptable Power Supply for your computer.
