As I was leaving a game I got temporarily restricted. I dont hack or bot. No cheating whatsoever. Its just annoying the game I love to play keeps having server issues where one night I can’t connect. The next day I play fine leave a game now this day is ruined as well. All I want to do it play this game Blizzard why make it so tough on us. I see bots running rampant yet its the average gamer still buying these games you’re bothering. I purchased another copy of Diablo 2 a week ago. Just a tragic situation.

Same thing is happening to many players (myself included). If it’s exactly the same, using a different network fixed it for me. I still can’t play with my house’s internet connection, but if i use my mobile hotspot, it works (different public IP).
If that’s the case, one way around it is calling your ISP and asking them to change your IP. Hopefully that will work for you, because my ISP can’t do that, so i’m stuck using my mobile hotspot and playing with lag.
did you Ip get permma banned? Thats crazy and ridiculous if its the case.
To be honest, i don’t know. I know my account and cd key are good, but my IP is the issue. I don’t know for how long will i have problems, but from what i read, it could be like 2 weeks or something, which sucks pretty bad because all i did was switching characters fast i think…
The same thing happens to me, everything normal in my account, no bots or hack, but for 2 days it has been suspending me from the game for being in some baal runs or being less than 5 minutes in a game. It is very annoying, they have taken me out 3 times in these two days, and I have to wait 12 hours to play again. To whom should this situation be claimed?

You guys need to fix this as it seems to be affecting ALOT of your honest customers.
Heck I haven’t been able to log in for two days. Server went down for some reason and never was able to get back on! I just rebought this game a week a go.
Blizzard has never notified in cases of bans\forum mutes of any kind.
A few months ago, I had the VPN up for working remote, which was in the background and afterwards I couldn’t login for 2 weeks. I just tried everyday and finally one day was back to normal.
Wait, really? I’m using VPN for WFH right now too. Is that why I can’t log in?! That’s ridiculous!
USWest getting instant temp restrictions leaving any cbaal games. Anyone else?

Yeah that’s it. They added that in the reasons for a temp restriction and it can get you like 2-3 weeks penalty time. But the good news is that it just affects your IP it seems, since pretty much the same happened to me and i can log in using my mobile hotspot.
Right but the issues is people are getting banned for no good reason while bots are able to do w/e they want.
This is getting old. Please fix asap. Very frustrating to get banned when playing a game legitimately that has been paid for, but bots are able to do whatever without consequence. I should not have my play style limited and be unable to do runs or be forced to stay in games after a trade to avoid getting banned. I fully realize this game is old and its amazing it is still up, but this did not happen until the most recent realm down so it seems that there should be a way to change this back or fix this. And the the fact that it has not yet been addressed or corrected does not show good customer support.
