Customer Support for Refunds is Down

I have recently been trying to refund a purchase I made on battle.net a couple days ago. When I go through the customer support on the website, and go through refund, I get a “Something wrong on our end message” with an error code (7be221a9-5dcb-4315-afa7-5c1eb1be59bb). I am then unable to create a ticket or get in contact with anyone. This is now the second day I am trying to refund as the error says it may be a temporary problem and to try again later, but no luck.

That error can happen sometimes but I don’t know what causes it. Some things you can try:

  • Access the refund ticket from another browser.
  • Access the refund ticket from private browsing mode
  • Access the refund ticket after clearing cookies and cache in your current browser
  • Check any script, malwarebytes, or other security blockers for that page.
  • Use a different device like your phone browser to put in the ticket. That not only changes browsers, it tends to change IP to a different service.

The first attempt at any refund is automated and is granted if you fall within the refund policy. That is time dependent. If it declines you, you then put in a ticket for a GM to manually review it. Refer to this post if the decline is due to “date you put the ticket in”.

Thank you for the reply. I have now done all of the following to try and create a refund request.

  • used edge and chrome
  • used a private browser
  • cleared cookies and cache in chrome
  • turned off malwarebytes and extensions
  • used chrome on my phone

All resulted in the same message “something went wrong on our end”

I get the same message. Im trying to refund black ops 6 but keep getting message “something went wrong on our end”.

I am also in the same situation where I purchased the wrong item and need a refund for an in game service for WoW. I too cannot create a ticket either to attempt to correct.

Adding my voice to this. Trying to refund both my War Within preorder I have yet to touch (havent opened the game since June) and my black ops 6 preorder I do not want anymore. Get the EXACT same error code. Have tried 3 different browsers (Mozilla, Brave, Edge). Getting flustered as this is hundreds of dollars.

Any workarounds to get to the ticket making screen, ends with this instead:

“You can’t submit this ticket.
An error has occurred. This may be a temporary error, so please try again later.” With no error code.

Hey all,

There is a known issue with some of the support services that’s being looked into. For now, it’s best to give Bliz some time to sort it all out, then try the refund again later.
