Im having these mini crashes, it happens 90-95% of the time when im in a city opening my collections tab. But ive had it happen to me in dungeons before as well. Ive never had these issues before until about a week ago, i updated my drivers, turned off addons, and checked for file corruption. For what a crash looks like, typically my character and all other models disappear, my graphics look like runescape, and i cant take any action for about 5-10 seconds. Thanks for the help.
This forum is for issues with the Desktop Launcher which I gather is not the issue for you.
Based on your description, it sounds like you are having issues with WoW related to your computer/software. Blizzard no longer offers any Technical Support troubleshooting hardware or software installs to get games going. That stopped in early 2024 with the Microsoft acquisition and layoffs.
You can ask other players for help specific to WoW on the WoW Tech Support forum.
Some notes to try first:
- Turning off your addons is not the same as doing a UI reset. You were totally right to start there though for troubleshooting! Try it this way, and rename or move the folders so you don’t have to redo your addons if it does not help. Resetting the WoW User Interface - Blizzard Support
- Corrupt files is another great troubleshooting step! You ran Scan and Repair I assume? If not, try that.
- Next is less enjoyable - computer limitations with graphics or memory. You may have hardware failing, or not capable of keeping up with the game. You can try turning down your graphics settings to see if that helps. There are a lot of spell effects and other things you can selectively turn off in WoW to improve performance. You can also make sure your computer has enough hard drive space and RAM to run the game - sometimes turning off other applications and running JUST WoW may help to see if it is related to active memory space.
