thats because they are not part of the classic game they where added in WOTLK or CATA if those expansions and up are queried and the listing failed it has not been added and probably wont work …
SOOO many classic realms please post your namespace so we can know what one …

Example :
/profile/wow/character/firemaw/unclejon/collections/pets?namespace=profile-classic-eu&locale=en_GB
This is for the Mists of Pandaria version, where collections like pets are available
this was mentioned a while ago in discord … it probably wont be fixed or resolved anytime soon unfortunately at this point only classic-1x endpoints will work on classic realms
