CoD Vanguard Dev Error 149

Don’t know WTF is going on with Vanguard. But, ever since the latest patch 12/06/2021 (20 gig patch) the campaign will not launch. I end up getting a “Dev Error 149” error. I cannot restart at the beginning of a completed mission. I cannot resume my game.

I have reinstalled my video card drivers, and did a “scan and repair”. Nothing has changed. Game loads until about the 98% mark stalls and crashes. When it crashes, it just goes back to campaign launch screen. If I try to launch again. It crashes to desktop and get an Activision bug reporting tool.

I have reported the bug several times, and even logged into the Activision support site with no hint of help from them (Activision support…LoL). So, I’m now turning the Blizzard community to see if anyone else has encountered this error. Hopefully, there is some sort of work around, so I don’t have to reinstall the game.

Game was running great before the patch BTW.

i have the same problem have re installed still can not start a mission it crashes with bug report.

I had the same issue. I got stuck on Stalingrad mission. I replayed the mission before it and let it play through video cutsecene then Stalingrad started and allowed me to play. Hope this helps

Same here. About the same time. And in Stalingrad. Have sent texts with no reply. Does Blizzard read these chains? I noticed Blizzard has been spending lavishly advertising on TV for Vanguard and yet those of us who bought the game are twiddling there thumbs…
