I downloaded COD MW2 today to play the campaign. However once install was complete I went to launch to find out that it won’t launch at all. It gives me the bootstrap error screen but does not give an error code. 76 bucks is a lot for something not to work. Can some help please? Thanks in advance.

Im having the same exact issues. I had also tried this on steam first. requested a refund from them only to have the same problems here… I am guessing this wont get fixed until the actual launch of the game.

Nice to see I am not alone, unfortunately. The game crashes my computer forcing it to restart when I try to launch it. Also tried on steam first. Tried a lot of the fixes available online, with no change.

Stesso errore e sono davvero alterato , ho provato davvero di tutto anche i consigli che mi hanno mandato via ticket ma nulla…
si mi solleva il fatto di non essere l’unico con questo problema e anche io le ho provate tutte ma nulla da fare. speriamo che almeno il 28 quando uscirà per tutti funzioni altrimenti avrò buttato 110 euro
Glad to know I’m not the only one. Same thing’s been happening to me. Might get the game on steam instead.
Edit: I contacted battle.net and activision through their player support page. They couldnt fix it as well, so they send their technicians to do a deep scan. So far, I’ve gotten no reply back.

never pre pay and pre order any new games… until everything is flawlessly settled… only advice I can give… d4? not buying right away…
I`m getting Error message saying "My data is corrupt or didn’t download properly, and to reset my rank and unlocks to continue [REASON- NIAMEY-LEE]
Ran a scan to check my files and all ok
Not clicking on the Yes tab in case I lose all my completion data

Having the same issue on stream. Id guess its an Activision game bug since its across both platforms. nothing to do but wait i guess.

Had same issue right now, try update your windows… It actually worked. Download latest windows update and restat pc
I’m having the same issue. as soon as the game try’s to launch it crashes my entire PC and forces a restart. Its corrupted my other game files as well. Is there a fix to this yet? I played the beta with no issues and now the game can’t even start. I asked for a refund LAST WEEK and I still haven’t gotten a response.

any updates on what they said about the deep scan?
They asked for my processor, and what model it was. I think its a hardware problem, not software as MW2 require an AVX supported CPU (gen 2 intel and up)
Nope it’s launch day now and they still don’t have their sh1t together, million dollar company and this is what you get a game not even playable for near 80$ after tax. Don’t worry they’ll give us a free double xp token for this royal f— up.

voila j’ai acheter le jeux 100 euros la beta marchait bien la campagne aussi et depuis la sorti du jeu, le jeu ne fait que planter j’ai tout essayer mais vraiment tous rien n’y fait alors voila je kiff MW2
