Hello,
After playing the game for a few weeks I am not having trouble connecting bnet in Diablo 2 LoD 1.14d. When I launch the game and try to log in I get stuck at “checking versions" and I get told to try again in a few minutes. This has been going on for almost a day now. I have not been doing anything wrong, no VPN, etc. I paid money for this game and expect the service that I paid for… if I am arbitrarily booted from the game I would like my money back.
What is the deal here? Thanks
It would seem blizzard still lets bots run rampant but banns people like me and you for no reason put in a ticket only to be told i have done something such as hacking or leaving games to quick or using and invalid key although i just purchased this key from blizzard about a week ago.
Same thing happened to me, i think it was because i switched mules too fast (?) and got myself temp restricted. I gotta admit though that while reading about it here, blizzard support suggests to “change your ip”, so the first (and only) thing i thought was using a VPN per their suggestion. I accept it’s my fault since it’s mentioned somewhere, but i only did it as i was following their suggestion in the only way i knew… i really don’t think that deserves any sort of ban (i guess a warning would’ve been nice, didn’t even get to log in).
Hopefully we can get some answers soon, but they haven’t been responding most topics out here.
This just happened to me too. I’m going to try the VPN as Leo suggested…
Update: The VPN worked. I would suggest downloading one. I use IPVanish and that solved the issue immediately.
Sorry i read this so late, and also sorry if i didn’t explain myself properly, but i definitely don’t suggest using a VPN, what i meant was that was my mistake. Using a VPN gets you temporarily restricted (2 weeks)
