Ever since yesterday, I have not been able to play the game due to an error (BLZBNTAGT000008A4) when trying to update the game. I’m not talking about the Overwatch 2 beta. I am talking about the original game. I’ve tried restarting the battle net client and my computer but nothing seems to make the error go away. I also tried with Diablo 2 and got the same error.

Have you tried the suggested troubleshooting, including the Advanced Troubleshooting if needed, in :

I just tried to follow these steps in the advanced section of the link and it completely broke my battle net launcher.
- Close Blizzard processes.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up the Task Manager.
- Click the Processes tab.
- Select all Agent, Blizzard Battle.net desktop app, and game processes, and click End Process.
- Navigate to the folder containing the Battle.net directory:
- Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialogue.
- Type *C:\ProgramData* into the Open field and press Enter.
- Delete the Battle.net folder.
- Run Battle.net and update the game to see if the issue persists.
If the error persists after you try these steps, another program may be causing the problem. Restart your computer and delete the Battle.net folder one more time.
Whenever I open the launcher all my games are gone and all I see is this error: BLZBNTBNA00000006. I tried restarting my computer as it suggested and it’s still broken. I also can’t uninstall the launcher now because the folder I just deleted is missing. If I try to run the launcher installer anyway, I get an error there too.
I restored the folder from my recycle bin to uninstall. I am reinstalling right now but the launcher is now hanging on “Updating Battle.net Update Agent”
That could be due to some software conflict (antivirus or other) with the install… try closing all the other applications in the background (step 5 of the 8A4 support note).
Also, try downloading Battle.Net from the Downloads page to check if it helps.
Oddly enough, everything started working when I turned on my VPN.
