so when ever i boot up war craft reforged i get the following I receive an error: “There Was An Error In Handling The Request”* i dont get it i was playing it fine a few days ago. any ideas. i tried reinstalling the game and battlenet no luck.

Ah! That error you keep getting when trying to launch WC3 usually means one of two things.

You haven’t linked your RoC CD key to your Battlenet account. That can be done in your account management. Enter the key into the “Redeem a code” field. This will grant access to the Classic mode only.

You haven’t purchased Warcraft 3 Reforged, which gives access to both Classic and Reforged modes.
Essentially, you have to prove to Battlenet that you own a copy of the game.
i dont see a key my brother bought it for me for my bday and it was playing fine up to a few days ago. when i go to game and subs all i see is Warcraft III: Reforged Active

Have you logged the client into Battlenet recently? Or are you playing offline?
Because you mentioned that you can’t post on the Warcraft 3 forums, that’s telling me that your account doesn’t have a license either linked or purchased. In your Account Settings here: https://account.blizzard.com/games#classic-game-accounts, do you see a key displayed for “Warcraft® III: Reign of Chaos®” like this: https://postimg.cc/qt6DBh5N

Okay so that means you don’t have a legacy CD key linked to your account.
And you have not purchased WC3:Reforged?

Without a linked game key or a right-out purchase, you won’t be able to play the newest version of the game. That’s also why you can’t post in the Warcraft 3 forums.
If you have more than one Battlenet account, make sure you’re using the one that was allowing you to play last time.
this is my only blizzard account i guess ill just start buying their games on consoles then since this is to frustrating.
Is it possible that the game updated since the last time you played it? The update to “Reforged” changed how the game is unlocked. It’s not by entering a CD key during installation any more. Now, you have to do one of the two methods I mentioned above.
