My account was hacked back in 2013, and in the process my Diablo 3 account was banned - I restored my main account back then but apparently never got the ban removed.
I went back in my old emails and sent the necessary info to support showing exactly when my account was compromised and the ticket numbers to restore it, but they’re apparently refusing to lift this ban.
So I’m permanently locked out of playing Diablo 3 even in single player because some hacker messed with my account over 10 years ago. I only recently noticed this after logging in after a long period to purchase Diablo 4, and it does not sit well with me at all. I’d like to be able to play the game I purchased.
Then the only way you’ll be able to play the game is to buy another copy…
Diablo III is on sale 50% off until 23-Sept-2024.

Blizzard does not retain the data logs that prove how the account was accessed forever. A compromise needs to be reported as rapidly as possible in order for Blizzard to review it and help an account holder regain access.
If this happened in 2013, then there are no longer records they can use to prove what happened to the account license. They are not going to unban that without solid proof of a compromise at the time.
If you asked, and they can’t help, then it is likely way way too late. We, as players, are responsible for our accounts - and if we don’t keep them secure, and report immediately if there is an issue, it limits what Blizzard can do.
Also, there is no single player version of Diablo 3 - in the offline sense. There is only an online version of that game with the exception of some console editions.
