Can't link Blizzard account to switch. Website doesn't exist

I’m not sure where I should post this, as there doesn’t seem to be a forum for console games. In fact, the forum options I see are needlessly confusing to begin with. Anyway, I bought the new D2 on both PC and Switch. Played on PC for a while, and now want to connect my Switch version to my Blizzard account.

When I turned on the Switch version, it tells me to go to Enter Verification Code and type in a generated code it has given me. However, when I type that in my browser, I get the error Murlock page saying 404 - Page not found. I’m typing this in my PC since no browser pops up or anything on switch. What am I supposed to do??

EDIT: aaannd of course when I click on that website link I typed in, it actually works. Guess you can’t just type it into the address bar, but have to make it into a link and then click it?.. Either way, it works now… However, none of my offline characters are showing up in the switch version. I thought this had crossover? Don’t tell me it’s just for online characters. That doesn’t make any sense.

Hello, Mavsynchroid. I had the same problem on XBOX One. I couldn’t enter the link directly, but was able to follow it from the link in your post, so thanks for posting this, it was really helpful. Given that DIII didn’t require jumping through this hoop, I don’t know why it’s needed here.
