Can't find CD keys for Warcraft 3 after purchasing

Every time I try to download and launch the game, it asks me for a CD key. I’ve looked everywhere on my account and cannot find it. They are not listed under my “games and subscriptions” either. All it show is that my Warcraft 3 prepurchase and nothing else.

Having the same issue. I’m attempting to reinstall the game now.

Hey DarkArcher,

It looks like this account purchased “Reforged” which does not use CD keys. If you are using the download from our website it should allow an “Authenticate with Battle.net” option.

If there is no such option, try uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh copy of the game.

How do we uninstall the game, I can’t find an uninstaller? I tried repairing my game to prevent the unwanted error “Game update required. Please run installer again.”

I’ve ran the installer to get the game update. And this error still shows up.

What do I do?!

Once Reforged is live, it will be through there. However the current method for uninstalling is through Windows Add or Remove programs.

having the same issue, no prompt to authenticate with battle.net, could it be that im using a mac?

I am having the same issue, but before CS tells me that I bought reforged. I did not buy reforged. I purchased Warcraft III. Not Warcraft III Reforged, not Warcraft III Classic, just Warcraft III, in which I purchased the full price of it about 2 years ago. Now it is gone and when I try to download it, it is asking for CD-keys. The game did not come with CD-Keys because it was on the Battlenet Launcher. I thought that if you bought a game, it is yours.

If you’re using a Mac and unable to authenticate by logging in to your account after pre-purchasing Reforged then you may need to reach out to support directly by making a ticket. We’ve seen some reports of issues like this with Mac systems.

I glanced at your account and I see that you purchased Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos five years ago. The game key is linked to your Blizzard account. You can access it by looking at your list of games on the website. Use that key when installing the game to access RoC.
