So, I used a VPN. I have since discovered that’s not a cool thing to do. However, I’ve waited about 2 weeks and 3 additional days, and I still cannot connect to battle.net east. Can someone from blizzard support tell me whether my IP is still banned for some reason?
ya i just waited 2 weeks as well and i still can’t sign on, i’m pretty not stoked since you actually have no idea how long it lasts… this is just great.

The forums aren’t official contact points with Bliz, which just means that Bliz replies are not guaranteed.
However, you can submit a support ticket to find out the duration of the restriction. You can start the process here.
Note that support won’t be able to tell you why the restriction was applied, just its duration.
