I wondered if there was a way for me to do anything to solve this, I simply can’t connect because my Battle.net password doesn’t fit in the password line within the game connect screen.
Your Battle.net password will not work for Diablo 2. If you previously created a Diablo 2 game account, then use that password.
If you can’t remember it, then click on Account Settings and change it or create a new one.
A registered an email address is required.
Please note: If it’s been longer than 90 days since you last played, all your characters will have expired and been purged from the servers.

Diablo 2 has its own forums: D2 (2000) and D2 Resurrected . There are also D2R beta forums.
As for your connection problem, the early access beta ended yesterday at 10am PDT. The open beta starts friday at 10am PDT.
