Cannot Play The $70 Game I Paid For - COD MW 2

Bought COD MW 2 during early campaign on Oct 20 i think

downloaded it. launched it. says i have to update Windows. wtf?

so i literally updated: my gpu, windows, bios, drivers and cleared up some issues with CCleaner

it would load up but then crash at the main menu. no matter WHAT i did. this lasted a full 2 days. i then refunded it and decided to wait for the 28th to see if it was fixed.

bought it again friday night.

now THIS time i am unable to even START the game. battlnet gives me that 00012 error - ive uninstalled and reinstalled half a dozen times - adjust my acx value in bios - DOWNGRADED my gpu driver to the nvidia 517 driver - scanned and repaired over 100 hundred times.

Edit: also tried running cod launcher from explorer, tried running as admin, battlenet as admin, running compatibility for win 8 , then tried not running as admin (some people say not to run battlenet/cod/etc as admin) , deleted cod folders in my documents). ive literally done everything i could on my side.

its been nearly 3 days.

i am completely unable to play the $70 game i purchased. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY SYSTEM. NOR is there anything wrong with ANYONE else’s systems.

i have seen a dozen threads on battlenet alone about not being able to even launch MW 2 and seen just as many on reddit and twitter and online.

this is completely absurd and frustrating. but Activision Blizzard is a small company w only 5 devs working on everything huh. i should cut them some slack. its not like they have revenue of hundreds of millions of dollars and entire studios dedicated to their products. i must be thinking of some other company.

Same here mine is crashing everytime at the very beginning.

I loaded the game played for a total of 1 hour and suddenly banned, no reason why and no refund. I realize that some people will cheat but frankly I wouldn’t even no where to begin to start cheating. I get there may be a problem going on and they need to fix it but then put something out so that we can understand. It’s the response or rather the lack of that reflects a deeper problem. I guess it’s back to card’s.

Yeah Same problem for me. i cant even load the game… “Scan And Repair” error every time and i tried 20 different things to fix it. My PC works Awesome except MW2. Have yet to load my game up once…

I paid 100$ for mine and I cant even get the game to load up

A refund would be nice

I can play it for 5 minutes before it crashes to desktop every time. If this continues in the next 3-5 days I want my refund…
