I just installed Diablo 2, then tried to connect to battle net through the game to patch the game, but after completing the patch download through battle net (the blood vial gargoyle statue filling) it said the patch failed to install because:

my diablo 2 was working fine the other day and now it wont let me get on the battlenet keep disconncet me
I can’t connect to battle.net either. If someone working at blizzard could tell me if my ip is blocked or not it would be greatly appreciated.
This didn’t work for me, even running as admin it would get stuck stating that it was waiting for files to close. “Retry or exit”.
So I went in to task manager and end tasked the diablo2.exe. and that worked.
