Got a new gaming PC up and running last night . Installed Battle.net and went to download WOW but I received the error message BLZBNTAGT00000840 at around 380 mb. I’ve been through all the Blizzard-recommended fixes several times now, and have double checked my security settings to confirm that both the Battle.net app and WOW have permission.
I’ve been playing since vanilla and have really been enjoying TWW and am eager to get back to it. Any help is much apprecited!

I got a new PC today and have encountered this issue as well. Windows Defender and McAffee have clean logs. Reinstalled Battlenet and rebooted a few times already, still no go.
I have the same issue. New PC, not able to download Call Of Duty (Warzone) from battlenet. Getting BLZBNTAGT00000840. Any help is much appreciated!
I have the same issue, I’ve tried everything in the support guide on this error multiple times. Still no luck. I can install D4 without issue though. So something is wrong with the wow installation. (Both Retail and Classic give the same error.)
I just updated my Bnet client and now it has worked
I am having the same issue, I just got a new pc, no security software running. Nothing from Windows showing it stopped anything. I’ve tried downloading, repairing that download, deleting battle.net and redownloading and then even I got that same error when reinstalling the launcher. Tried again it opened but now the same error when it tries to “update” Overwatch 2.
