After buying the new Black Ops 6, I cannot launch Call of Duty from the Battle Net application. I constantly get the following error:
"An error has occured while launching the game. Please check for updates or scan and repair to fix this issue.
More Help: BLZBNTBNA00000012"
I have tried the following things -
Scan and Repair multiple times
Reinstall game multiple times
Reinstall Battle Net multiple times
Clear cache in files
Rename file that Call of Duty is downloaded in
Run both Battle Net and COD as admin
Run both Battle Net and COD as non admin
I feel like I have tried everything to troubleshoot this issue but no matter what i do the game will not launch. Very unfortunate that I spend over 70 dollars on a game and it wont even launch. Any advice would be much appreciated
Same with me. Thought it was because I installed it on my external ssd but that wasn’t it either. One of my buddies said something about it possibly being something to do with the anti cheat. Not sure what to do with that but if you find out how to fix it please comment.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 may not be launching due to various reasons. Ensure your system meets the minimum requirements and update your graphics drivers. Verify game files using Battle.net’s “Scan and Repair” function. Temporarily disable overlays, firewall, and antivirus to isolate potential conflicts. Reinstall DirectX and perform a clean boot to eliminate software interference. If these steps don’t work, contact Blizzard support for specific troubleshooting tailored to your system. Remember to keep your system updated and close unnecessary background applications. As a last resort, try launching the game in different compatibility modes. By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue and enjoy the game.
This strange thing is happening to me. I launch the game and it opens but after i connect to online services it shuts down with no error code or anything. it just lights up the play button in the battlenet launcher to open up the app again.
Blizzard doesn’t offer support for launching Call of Duty because a separate game studio makes that game. Please, take a moment to read the thread at the top of this forum:
Why is it then that I have two separate installations of CoD BO6 on my computer, but the only one that refuses to launch is the one linked to my Battle.net?
I still have not figured out what is causing this issue, but the one on the gamepass starts right up no issues. The only thing tying me to the BNET launcher is the fact that I have a credit balance in the store.
I seen a Reddit post that 3 people found a fix by deleting other anti cheats, such as Riot, Vanguard, etc… The anti cheat that fixed it for both of them was called Face It. After they deleted that, it worked.
This is what fixed it for me - I had the FACEIT anti cheat installed as I use the website regularly playing counter strike. Once I uninstalled it, I was able to run COD without any issues.
