I can’t install battle net app as I’ve been getting this error all day, already tried deleting, re-installing, deleting folders, cache, registry keys, user permissions, ownership of folders, etc., and it just won’t work, anybody have the same problem?

Steam Deck user here. I am also getting this problem starting today. It’s really good to hear others are suddenly having this. I haven’t tried a whole lot myself yet, as I had to install the app in a sort of roundabout way in the first place so it would work on a SteamOS system.

I noticed the discussion is more active at another forum post: “BLZBNTBNA00000005 (Battle.net Agent ist zum Schlafen gegange”

Switching to Proton 10 solved the problem for me.

This just worked for me

Yes, this is de wae. Thank you

Doesn’t work for me

Tried also deleting battlenet folders, run ccleaner and so on, still stuck at 45%

Same here. Shuts down at 45%.

This worked for me, although the WMI service wouldn’t shut down right away, Malware Bytes had a lock on it - so once I shut it down, and the WMI, and reset, then it worked for me, this was after full uninstall, windows account changes, numerous reboots, etc.

I have a feeling the WMI service being stuck is the real problem, and the repo probably doesn’t need to be reset, but I don’t have the issue any more so I can’t validate it

Use this:

the link you posted does not work but after googling how to complete the steps this worked for me.
