Hi all,
I encountered a problem with the battle net client failing to download a minor patch few weeks ago. I could not get it fixed so I decided to backup the wtf etc and uninstalled wow. Sadly, the client won’t download wow at all now.
The first issue was managing to even reinstall battle net. I checked every forum thread and created a new user account on my PC. After wiping everything off my disk, i manage to install it. But the client just keep telling me “waiting for another installation” every few minutes and it just does not download the game whatsoever…
I use administrator permission, i turned off firewall and any security apps and still it won’t help. I’m not downloading anything else so this message is extremely frustrating, as the client even gives up on “downloading” after 10 minutes or so and just pauses it.
I have (by accident) once clicked no as battle net kept asking for permission prior to the first unistall. I made sure that I run it as administrator afterwards which should help i guess.
What I do notice in the task manager is that the battle net agent seems to stop, the moment that the download actually stops downloading. The battle net service under the “services” tab shows “stopped”.
I raised a ticket and told blizzard everything I’ve tried. Of course they send me this copy paste nonsense which I already tried every possible solution for. DNS flush, unplug router etc. And if that doesn’t help, ask on the forums, and not even having a reply button available to tell them that i, as prior mentioned already, tried everything that’s suggested.
I missed the freaking new expansion because of this and I am seriously thinking of quitting. Blizzard never wants to assist me whenever I have a problem (not often but still) and I feel that it’s ridiculous that I need help from fellow players to solve this problem.
I do hope that any of you can help me because you are my last resort to have this problem solved.
I don’t have another PC or person who can download the game for me so I can copy paste it, so that: unfortunately not an option either.
Looking forward to your assistance
