Do you really have to nickle and dime your audience this badly. Charging $10 for a name change?

This is why people swear by Steam despite their monopoly over the PC gaming space, it doesn’t perpetuate anti-consumer behavior.

Hell. Ubisoft, EA, EPIC, GOG. Every game launcher with a friend list offers free name changes, some have limitations like once every 30 days but not a single one charges money for it.

This kind of garbage makes defending Blizzard impossible.

It’s been this way forever, and I see nothing wrong with it. The other companies that you mentioned, their games are subpar compared to Blizzard. And making people pay for a name change helps cut down on trolling and online bullying as well, imo.
