Blizzard - Error Code: BLZBNTAGT00001389

I’m having the same issue. Has anyone had this resolved? I’m on a windows laptop so Mac fixes no an option.

I’m using a Mac, and I’ve done everything you suggested. Still having the same annoying error though… Can’t update, repair nor, obviously, play starcraft.

I am on a windows pc and I just had this happen to me recently. I would play OW2, then randomly I would lose a lot of my hud as well as menus in addition to being unable to see other players. I will note that this happened after I played the recent update on a different computer.

Why would there suddenly be a firewall issue when there wasn’t any such issue yesterday or the day before or for a week before that? Why is it when this error comes up, the answer is always some mysterious issue with MY system or MY set-up? Everything is set-up exactly the way it was before when it all worked fine. It is very frustrating when the same issues come up & battle.net always seems to suggest all these really dramatic & invasive suggestions for a fix (like uninstalling & reinstalling WoW). To be honest, this BLZBNTAGT00001389 error keeps coming up every couple weeks or so regardless of what I try. So why would I go through all the effort of reinstalling when I have no reason to believe it would work any better? We are people who pay our money & are faithful fans of the game, yet we play to relax, but it’s really not relaxing to have to perform major surgery on our computers every few weeks. Maybe it’s something with the game & not always an issue with my firewall. I’ve played just fine with the firewall just as it is.

I’ve tried the several troubleshooting tips on the website. When I try to Scan/Repair, it gives same error code message popup. I’ve tried to uninstall / install, still didn’t work

I believe that the latest battle.net update broke a number of things. I’ve never had this problem before with Diablo 3 and Hearthstone updates and runs fine. My hope is the next update to the battle.net launcher fixes this problem as I would play Diablo 3’s new season if I could. None of the suggestions made my Blizzard has worked (restarting app, restarting computer, checking firewall connections, etc.). The scan and repair also gives the same error code so that doesn’t work either.

Blizzard - Error Code: BLZBNTAGT00001389](/en/blizzard/t/blizzard-error-code-blzbntagt00001389/46745) Have a Mac. Fix the problem on your end. Or tell community you won’t support this app and remove it.

have the same issue been happening for a week and blizzard got back to me and said it was my gpu crashing. for reference i have an amd radeon xt 6600

Hi, i have found a solution, delete game manual and reinstall, really long but work for me.

I’M HAVING THE SAME ISSUE, I get the error code and it won’t let me run a scan!

I had the same issue on an M2 MacBook air and was able to solve the problem.

It ended up being an access/permissions issues for the SC2 data folders.

I did the following: Navigate to Starcraft II/SC2Data

I then “right clicked” on each of the enclosed folders (config, data, indices, patch) and clicked “get info.” At the bottom, permissions were set to “custom” and I changed them to “read & write.”

SC2 update worked on battle.net restart. I hope this works for you!

Thank you so much Fraylock. Worked for me just fine.

(Edited to add laptop details: Macbook Pro 2015 / Monterray 12.6.9)

Wanted to play for the first time in years, but Hearthstone will not update. comes up with error code BLZBNTAGT00001389. Tried all of the suggested fixes and nothing works. Maybe I missed a reply on this issue, but I don’t have a fix. Any suggestions from fellow Mac users? Blizz, if you want people to play we need support on this!

Thank you fraylock, works for me too! Mac early 2015, Mojave.

Starting getting error today, I did all the recommended fixes to no avail. On PC Desktop

yeah same issue, Windows 11 - was fine before. Paused the DL to actually play, and after when I wanted to leave on overnight it didn’t want to and gave this error.

Guys if it is relating to installing or updating a game. Here is what to do. Delete battle net through your windows settings in the app section. Then go into your Local Disk & on the programme files where the game file is. Shift + Delete the files. Then re download battle net & then install the game again.

We shouldn’t have to go through all of this crap …this is their job to fix this problem and not let us post for nearly 6 months with this issue. Beyond frustrating here.
