When I open the Blizzard App it works for a few seconds, then freezes. I cannot move the window, click any buttons, or switch between games. When this happens, the app still looks normal (buttons are blue, etc.), but I can’t click anything and am forced to Ctrl+alt+delete to close it. I cannot install any games either, because after I am prompted to change locations for my download, and I select the location I want it, the location doesn’t change and it freezes. I see a few other posts on this forum who have the same issue. Please help.
Hey Kindor,
Let’s try a full reinstall of the Blizzard app:
- Open Control Panel.
- Click Uninstall a program.
- If the Blizzard app is listed, right-click on the app and select Uninstall.
- Next let’s delete the temporary files. To find those files, press Windows Key + R and type the following commands, pressing enter after each one to open the folder location. Delete the Battlenet, Blizzard and Blizzard Entertainment folders in each location:
• %LOCALAPPDATA%
• %APPDATA%
• %TEMP%
• %PROGRAMDATA% - Download the app installer from here
- Make sure you run as Admin and install onto the C drive if possible.
- Retest the Blizzard app
Hi.
I experience the complete same problem.
I’ve tried your solution and reinstalled the Blizzard app, but the bug still occurs.
