Blizzard account hacked (email changed)

My email account to my blizzard account has been changed. I have made this new one to try and get support to recover my other account. I have gotten an email saying my security question was changed and my email was changed. I have no way of resetting it since the email was changed and when I enter my old email it says account not found. Is there a way I can recover this instead of using self recover articles and talk to someone about it. Those articles did not help and for my email I keep getting the same copy and paste message instead of someone who is actually willing to help me. Thank you.

I have the same issues. Their customer support setup is pretty stupid if your account is hacked. I submitted my driver’s license to prove my identity and asked for account recovery. I got a ticket number but how am i supposed to check the progress of my ticket?

Click the support link at the top right of the website. It should allow you to see “my tickets”. Otherwise, the email you were sent when your ticket was submitted should also have a link.

They don’t tend to update second by second. The estimated time is based on the longest ticket in queue which can be an escalated one to specialists. Average is 3-4 days right now with the work from home and new WoW expansion.

While you wait, be sure to do a full virus scan, malware scan, etc.

When clean change the password on your email. If they managed to change the email on your account, then they are in your email too. It takes a confirmation to the old email to change to a new one.

I would suggest setting up a new email you use only for Blizz and making sure it has secondary authentication like a code sent to your phone. Gmail works but there may be others. When you get your account back, switch to it. Also get the Blizzard Authenticator app.

Last, hackers do bad things. Don’t be shocked if you have to submit an appeal for a ban. If it was compromised they will fix it for you.

i figured out if you want to bypass the government id part to prove the identity of your second account, you have to go to your account security and set up authenticator, phone number and security question. then it will bring you straight to the account recovery page instead of the ID one. hope this helps and I am still waiting for a response 2 days later.

Ghostacamo2 have you gotten a fix for your issue yet? I have been waiting at least 3 days to have my account access given back to me after a hacking incident. Blizzard support is really dropping the ball lately.
