Good morning! With the universal clamor for critical patch updates, and the resulting radio silence, I figured a different approach may be needed…
Instead of asking for an update on a future patch to fix the well-described gameplay issues, I would like to ask a simple question:
Does Blizzard have a no comment policy when it comes to patch updates and/or timing?
I think a simple yes or no answer to this question would go a long way towards making the community feel heard, as opposed to ignored, without Blizzard having to reveal anything. It would also help prevent endless future posts about the topic.
Win/win.

Great post. Though i fear we must assume they have such policy and move on
They definitely scaled down on the team though. Such a small buggy patch after 3 months. I’m happy they are still even working on the game though. I hope they keep patching until all functionality we had in 1999 has returned.
I think the reality is that this game’s future is uncertain. I believe even those delivering the news don’t really know either, as information is passed to them when it becomes available. There are no regular updates on what’s going on.
While the game gets occasional post-release updates, it’s clear that little time is allocated for development. If yesterday’s patch is any indication, the developer(s) either don’t have time to test their changes or are relying on us to do it for them. I don’t mind testing, but it should be done on a proper PTR. I don’t want to be overly critical because I appreciate any time given to this game and hope for more, but the bugs in yesterday’s patch would have been obvious if someone had just played a single 15-minute game.
If money and time cannot be reliably allocated to Remastered, I would rather see the source code made public, just like EA did with C&C recently. We have enough competent developers, modders, and others in the WarCraft 2 scene who are ready to take the reins if given the opportunity.
