I’ve done everything recommended. I don’t understand why Battle net won’t run after today’s patch? I keep getting BLZBNTBNA00000005, I’ve updated drivers, closed and restarted battle.net, rebooted. Re-added battle.net and wow to by pass the VPN (note it was always there to begin with). IDK what happened just before TG- but it’s been horrible not being able to play with the VPN in a US server and now Battle net won’t work at all for any location. I do NOT believe this is my ISP or VPN, this is Blizzard imo. I’ve already reset/powered down the router /Wi-Fi- reconfigured it all AGAIN, uninstalled and re-installed battle.net and the whole game (14 hrs.) etc. etc. etc. Blizzard/Activision this is not fun. I am not a Network engineer -
If it’s not working with your VPN, you would want to contact the VPN company.
HMM. I don’t think it’s the VPN because everything else works as expected for all other sites correctly. I did notice when battle/net updates- it doesn’t delete the old file. I deleted the folder/file (from (C:/Program Files (x86)/.Battle.net ) having the older date yesterday and repointed the VPN to route to nearest US city when I logged off. Today I left the VPN configuration as is and miraculously I’m able to login without issue. So, if deleting the obsolete file is in fact the fix= then this is a blizzard issue (not the VPN provider).
But you made two separate changes, so it does sound like the VPN was having an issue.
Either way, this forum is supported by fellow players and not Blizzard staff. We’re here to help you with troubleshooting, but we cannot pass on feedback or blame to developers.
