I had one computer at one house and another computer at another house i was able to play MWZ at either house when i was there. I have now got both computers in the same house and the one that i just reinstalled will not connect using the battlenet app. I get error BLZBNTBGS80000011. i can connect to the web site and the other computer still works fine . i tried flushing dns, reinstalling app, reset my router all did not work. Any ideas?
This (should) fix your problem I believe.
I did all of the things the error code told me to do, uninstalled everything, use advanced settings, etc and none of it worked–but this fixed it in the “Run Dialog” option on your PC. (Would have just posted the link, but new users can’t.)
Hope this helps!
-
Close Blizzard processes.
-
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up the Task Manager.
-
Click the Processes tab.
-
Select all Agent, Blizzard Battle.net desktop app, and game processes, and click End Process.
-
Navigate to the folder containing the Battle.net directory:
-
Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialogue.
-
Type *C:\ProgramData* into the Open field and press Enter.
-
Delete the Battle.net folder.
-
Run Battle.net and update the game to see if the issue persists.
If the error persists after you try these steps, another program may be causing the problem. Restart your computer and delete the Battle.net folder one more time.
Note: The above steps may cause the Blizzard Battle.net desktop app to forget game install locations. If your games can’t be found, you will see Install on the Blizzard Battle.net desktop app game tab instead of Play. To find your installation, click Locate this game or run the game launcher.
After completing those steps, go to your control panel and try uninstalling the battlenet app and do a fresh reinstall on it.
i tried a new install of the app. it worked the first time but when i logged out and tried again it just sits there and loops. I am on my third attempt to clear all blizzard and battlenet data and reinstall the battlenet app but my hopes are not high. could this have anything to do with having 2 machines on the same subnet and both of them using the app?
