Twice it has happened to me to enter the application to play OW2 and see that the option to install appears instead of playing. I look for the installation and it has effectively deleted the game without me having done it. What could be happening and how can I avoid it? It has only happened to me with Battle.net, with Steam, Gamepass and normal games it has never happened.
Make sure your system is updated. I just updated my Xbox after having the same problem and it fixed it.
